Check Out How This Quirky, Self Lovin’ Songbird Mothers Her Plant Water Propagation Collection

I say almost every day, but I truly think one of the best part about this plant mama life is meeting other plant mamas. D’Ana Joi is a melodic soul that pours her energy into her indoor plant babies, everyone around her, and most importantly back into herself.  I remember seeing a photo of her releasing what I can imagine the most infectious laugh ever and I seriously felt the joy. These are definitely vibes we should seek and keep around us so it was a MUST to have her here on BGWG to share how she creates such compelling good vibes and an impressive indoor plant garden.

What inspired you to start your garden?

I started my indoor and outdoor garden because of my mother. She always (and still does) had a garden. I saw from a young age the joys of watching things grow. The minute I got my own place, I started my plant family.

What does being a plant mama do for you? Is it a form of self care? Coping method?

I love watching my plants grow. I care for them as I would a child, I am constantly checking up on them. Adding heat or humidity indoors for my tropical plants. Adjusting the light for my cacti. It’s all about helping them to thrive, and nurturing something so pure and innocent in this way brings a sense of purpose to my world.

What do you love the most about gardening?

Watching things grow. New leaves unfurl, flowers bloom. Oh, and plant shopping!

What do you dislike the most about gardening?

Pest! Or not knowing why one of my plants isn’t thriving and feeling helpless.

What do you struggle the most with in your garden or gardening in general?

Overspending in the plant store!

Tell us something unique and different about you and your garden.

My garden is unique because of how many indoor plants I have. I turned my fireplace into a plant space. I pile pants in corners and will add a shelf to a space just to have more plants. I am also constantly experimenting with water propagation and have many clippings growing in water.

It’s obviously that D’Ana has been loving on herself and plants for a while now. I can’t wait to see what her water propagation evolves into!
