The benefits are, no soil to deal with, faster growing herbs, and cheaper way of growing. You would just fill mason jar to 3/4 full and insert a net pod at the top. Next, add your rockwool and tuck seeds of your choice (2-3) in the rockwool. Some people like to use a meduim to lightly cover the seed. Afterwards, just watch your seeds grow.
