Sharifa is one of those plant moms you can’t believe actually exists! She’s a full time mommy, wife, and entrepreneur who still maintains a flourishing garden of herbs, veggies, and plants indoor and outdoor. When I say flourishing I mean she often eat, sell, and harvest from her yard daily (garden goals!). Of course, this isn’t her first rodeo, she’s been loving gardening for awhile!
I call her the plant mom of all trades because she uses her garden to create natural bath and body products as well as create gorgeous and useful scarves like the one below! Of course, I had to jump on the opportunity of a lifetime to hear her plant mama story.
I desired to be more self sufficient while living off of the land.
Being a plant mama is definitely self care and therapy. But above all, it is a reconnecting to the core essence of myself, my spirit, and my being.
The idea that plants will die, and yet either come back 10x fold, or give life to other living things.
live in the northeast of the U.S. so we only have a short season for planting 😔
Finding the time amongst my busy life ( mother of 4, wife, business entrepreneur) to really study and understand what it is my plants need to thrive.
harvest my own essential oils from my herb garden to use in my #naturalforreal body, hair , and skin products 😊💫 I also ONLY eat from my garden during the planting season.
See why I love her??!! I purchased some mint of my own from her!
